My Journey and Motivation:

Why:
Creating a website and a blog has been a lifelong goal of mine, not just to build a personal brand but also to share my thoughts with a larger audience. When writing, you also figure out real quick how well you know something...or how well you think you know something. Throughout college, I learned a tremendous amount about people from different cultures, how the world works – although it seems like the deeper you dive into a topic, the more you realize how little you truly know – and what really matters in life. I hope to continue this lifelong journey of learning by sharing the lessons and new perspectives that I pick up along the way. Maybe you'll even learn a new thing or two!
Who:
I grew up in the suburbs of Austin, TX with my parents and our super sweet dog, Brigette. Ever since I can remember, I've been playing sports – soccer, basketball, football, spikeball, you name it – and have always loved the outdoors, especially hiking in the mountains. I went to Emory University in Atlanta, GA, made some incredible friendships, and then lived in Costa Rica for 3 months + traveled the world a bit before starting work. I like to think that I was the cool gringo during my time down there. Now, I love to read, travel, watch movies, play sports, hike, write, volunteer, ski, and hang out with friends and family,
What:
I hope my financial literacy blog can present financial topics in a new light and hopefully impact how you look at your finances – harping on how the long game wins in the end, but also how personable every money decision can be. Additionally, I am more than happy to talk about financial planning topics – and anything else for that matter – in more depth if you'd like! Just reach out via LinkedIn or email. Further, I hope the Discussion section sparks a new destination idea, makes you think twice about commonly held beliefs, or helps you win your Fantasy Football League. Cheers!
